Bio

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at University of Pennsylvania, jointly supervised by Prof. Weijie Su from Department of Statistics and Data Science, The Wharton School and Prof. Qi Long from Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics, Perelman School of Medicine.

I work on the intersection of machine learning, optimization and statistics. See also my research for details.

Prior to my postdoctoral researcher position at Penn, I was a postdoctoral principal researcher in Econometrics and Statistics at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from October 2023 to October 2024, supervised by Prof. Mladen Kolar.

Before my stint at Chicago Booth, I completed my Ph.D. in Statistics at Department of Statistics and Data Science of Northwestern University advised by Prof. Han Liu. And before my Ph.D. study at Northwestern, I was a research assistant at Department of Mathematics of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), under the supervision of Prof. Yuan Yao and Prof. Jian-Feng Cai. I worked towards my master research under the supervision of Prof. Emilie Chouzenoux and Prof. Jean-Christophe Pesquet at CentraleSupélec, Université Paris-Saclay, France. I completed my previous degrees at HKUST and The University of Hong Kong (HKU) respectively.
